2019 AFP Electronic Payments Survey

RSCH-19-ePayments-PgHdr

Underwritten by:

This year’s Electronic Payments Survey revealed that check usage for B2B transactions declined to an all-time low to 42 percent, although it is still the most popular payment method for B2B transactions. Legacy wires (Swift) continue to dominate the payment landscape, comprising 68 percent of cross-border transactions.

The majority of survey respondents believe that faster payments will have a positive impact on their organization. Nearly three-fourths of financial professionals, believe that, of all the emerging technologies infiltrating the payments world, application programming interfaces (API) will have the greatest impact. AFP thanks J.P. Morgan for its underwriting support of the 2019 Electronic Payments Survey.
